Flow State Arts

Flow state arts main objective is promoting and enhancing health and well-being with the aim of bringing about about physical, emotional and spiritual equilibrium.

The different methods I use for developing this are through; Zero balancing that helps with healing and the flow of energy throughout the mind and body, meditation which stills / quietens the mind and connects us on a deeper level. Also Wing chun Kung fu which is of mind as well as body. All can be experienced either individually or personalised to suit individual needs.

The world is a busy and stressful place at times and keeping grounded, flexible of mind and balanced can prove difficult. Developing skills and coping mechanisms is a way of helping us navigate ourselves through our daily lives and how we interact with the world around us.

Flow state can mean many things – for example an athlete being in the zone, an artist totally immersed in his work, a state of meditation or just being in the moment. In Zen Buddhism there is the understanding of Mushin and In Taoism Wu wei meaning no mind, effortless action or non action which is similar to being in flow state. Developing and understanding flow can tune our intelligence and intuition to help make our journey more smooth, the path of least resistance and help improve ones physical, mental and spiritual state.

About Me

I travelled for many years as a younger man and spent over 5 years living abroad and touring countries such as India, Nepal, Thailand, Burma, Laos and Malaysia, trekking in the Himalayas (Nepalese region) that I first came across and became interested in Eastern philosophy.

I am a qualified Zero balancer working with the body’s energy system and skeletal structure to help bring a state of equilibrium and flow. For over 27 years I have been training / studying martial arts, health and well-being and am a qualified martial arts instructor (Wing chun) which I gained when living in Australia. I qualified as a personal trainer  to give me more in depth knowledge of the human body focusing on martial arts and self defence to build self confidence and self empowerment. Also I have studied and practiced meditation for nearly 30 years and a qualified meditation coach. I have a keen interest in yoga and breath work along with all natural health related studies and practices.

All of these I have found very empowering, grounding and excellent for cultivating personal growth and overcoming obstacles that life can lay down before us.

Through my own adversities I understand the value of working more internally and with a healing aspect, so I can give and explore another perspective to health and well-being.
